How Spray Foam Insulation Asheville Works

Spray Foam Insulation Asheville insulates and air seals homes across Asheville, Buncombe County and the nearby towns of Henderson, Haywood and Madison counties. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, encapsulate crawl spaces, blow in cellulose and fiberglass, insulate existing walls, and pull out old insulation that is wet, moldy or packed with debris.

Every job starts with a visit. Mountain houses are rarely simple: a 1920s bungalow on a steep lot can have a crawl space on one side and a full basement on the other, a bonus room squeezed under the roof, and an attic that is half floored. We go into each space, measure what is there, and look for the things new insulation should never bury: standing water, active leaks, damp framing, rodent damage, old wiring and suspect vermiculite.

Then we put the plan on paper. Each area gets its own line: what material, how thick, what R-value it reaches, and the price. If foam and blown-in would both work in a space, you see both options.

How we work

  • Inspect first. No phone quotes on whole-house work. We look, measure and photograph.
  • Fix the water first. Crawl spaces in these valleys see a lot of moisture. Drainage and leaks get handled before anything is sealed.
  • Air seal, then insulate. Gaps around chimneys, plumbing stacks, top plates and rim joists are closed before insulation goes over them.
  • Protect the house. Floors and belongings are covered and the work area is closed off and ventilated.
  • Plain-language quotes. You get the scope, the thickness and the price for each area in writing, and nothing changes without your sign-off.
